The Radio Station is a simple cabin located on the northern part of Häradskär, overlooking the open sea.
Originally used for signal intelligence, the building sits secluded from other structures – a setting that today offers a rare sense of tranquility and closeness to nature.
Here, you stay simply, without electricity or running water – with the sea, the cliffs, and the horizon as your closest neighbours.

THE HOSTEL
At the lighthouse station, you will also find a hostel located in the former lighthouse keepers’ residences, offering several accommodation options.
Enjoy simple lodging in a unique historic setting, far out in the outer archipelago.
Guests bring their own bed linen and towels, and are responsible for cleaning before departure. Toilet facilities are located in a separate building, and washing is done in the sea.

THE PILOT’S CABIN
Within the old pilot station environment on Häradskär, there is also a small cabin available for short stays – the former lookout, known as Vaktstugan.

The Skärgårdskompaniet company traffic the island on Thursdays between Fyrudden and Häradskär. At 16.30 the boat departs from Fyrudden.
It is also possible to order a taxi boat.

PARKING AT FYRUDDEN
Parking is available at Fyrudden. Free parking is available about 1000 m from the port. Parking is usually also available down on the quay and those are payed for in the machine at the port office.

If you want to swim when you are here, there are nice rocks around the whole island.
The garbage is put in bags and thrown in one of the two small garbage houses, one is at Lotshamnen and one at Fyrhamnen. In the garbage houses there is also some waste sorting: metal, glass, deposit and other/ mixed.
